Well the recent cold snap has brought an end to the tomatoes in my garden. No use wasting the tomatoes but instead giving the students a chance to make a Deep South tradition. Since it was a new recipe, a trial and error approach was implemented. Although it was not overly popular with the students, they learnt important skills with pan frying and limiting food waste.
