Today the Foods and Nutrition 9/10 classes made whole wheat pita along with 5 different dips. The dips included hummus, tzatziki, guacamole, salsa, and spinach dip. Besides the spinach dip, the students learnt about the health benefits of all the dips. There was no clear preference winner but the 'hot' salsa was either a hit or a quick switch to the yogurt based tzatziki :).
Here are some of the results from the 70 parents that filled out the on-line survey. A big thanks to all the parents for filling them out!
40% of students eat breakfast between 0 and 4 times a week. We need to try and eat breakfast everyday!
Only 12% surveyed think their students eat very healthy
78% practice eating healthy eating habits with their children. Yipee!
