What do you do with extra pizza dough? Have a Iron Chef Competition where the students can use anything available to them in the 'kitchen' for a shot at fame. Each group was given some pizza dough and the rest of the class was all about them. There were many creative ideas made from pretzels to perogies, calzones to canucks symbols. There were even some cinnamon desert creations as well. The winners from each class included a snake, dim sum inspired dumplings and a massive calzone! Well done to all!
This week the students had a chance to make their own whole wheat pizza. The first day they proofed the dough and selected the toppings. The second day they rolled out the dough and decided on the type of crust they wanted to make (thin, stuffed, etc) before making the magical pizza that would have many Italians singing "That's amore!'
